Anna Hermanson (they/them) is a Chicago-based circus artist and actor currently on tour with Circus on Ice.

Insatiably curious with the firm belief that anything can be an apparatus, they specialize in aerial hoop, cyr wheel, and dad jokes. Anna began their circus journey with the goal of making the heightened-texts of Shakespeare more accessible by embodying the stories in a way that transcends language. They have their BFA in Acting with a minor in dance from Viterbo University and studied under Raye Birk at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. 

 

They are a graduate of both Aloft Circus Art's Professional Training Program and The Actor’s Gymnasium Pro-Training Program.

 

Their work is deliberate, tender, and playful with a keen emphasis on collaboration.
